Paul Burgess

 

Paul is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, whose career began in Sheffield in 1974 within a small Practice of Land Surveyors. In 1979 Paul Burgess commenced employment with Rotherham Borough Council within the Estates Department as a Senior Valuer. In 1984 Paul commenced employment with Merryweathers and became a full equity Partner on the 1st January 1990 and remained in this position until his retirement from the Partnership in August 2008.

During the period of his career Paul has concentrated on commercial and professional work, primarily within the South Yorkshire area. However significant investment work has also been undertaken on a nationwide basis, including for the acquisition and disposal of commercial investments. The majority of professional work has included valuations for a number of purposes, including secured lending, probate, taxation, accounts, rent reviews, lease renewals, schedules of dilapidations/condition and expert witness submissions.

Paul has a long family association with Rotherham with his Grandfather being an Auctioneer and Father a Solicitor.

Neil Keally

 

Neil is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, whose career was born from a background in Construction Management. Neil then progressed onto property valuation by pursuing an academic course of study in this field, before securing employment in Rotherham.

Neil’s working career began in 1999 with Merryweathers Commercial, where he spent 10 successful years which included promotion to Associate Partner of the company, and appointment as a Member of the RICS in 2004. Neil’s work has primarily involved the main disciplines of commercial agency, valuation and management, centred predominantly in the South Yorkshire region and in Rotherham in particular.
